    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The  Community Recruitment Coordinator will provide the following services:

    • Provide social forums and informative groups meetings for the target population to discuss social determinants of health and issues of relevance and importance and their direct impact on the wellbeing of the target population
    • Assist group in coordinating and scheduling forums and group meetings and other group activities
    • Provide individualized support for core group members as needed
    • Communicate with core group regarding directives, questions and requests of F/T staff
    • Conduct group and forum sessions for individuals who present
    • Conduct outreach, promotion and other recruitment activities to engage participants
    • Maintain partnerships and conduct collaborative activities with groups and organizations
    • Maintain accurate records of outreach, educational and awareness activities as well as materials distributed
    • Assist in completion of all monthly, quarterly and other reports as required by both AID Atlanta and program funders
    • Attend all agency, department, and/or project meetings, workshops and/or trainings as requested by Education and Volunteer Services Department director or supervisor
    • Other responsibilities as necessary

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Public health)
    • Experience working with designated population
    • Experience in implementing community/ social awareness activities
    • Awareness of resources available for the population (preferred)
    • Certificate of Attendance Fundamentals of HIV Prevention Counseling (preferred)
