The A/R Specialist – Denials Management team member plays an important role in supporting AFH’s Revenue Cycle Department. The A/R Specialist is responsible for all aspects of managing the A/R to include edits, rejections and denials. They must be an expert in aggressive account follow up, collections and customer service. The A/R Specialist must document patient account activities; follow billing guideline changes; and identify payer trends. They must also contribute to maintaining strong vendor account relationships.
Consistent application of AHF’s internal financial policies & payment processing procedures and adherence to AHFs internal controls. This includes interpretation and follow up on Explanation of Benefits for accurate and timely maintenance of provider information on all claims and provider databases. He/ She ensures that all data is validated and appropriately adheres to business and system requirements.
The A/R Specialist will possess strong communication and customer service skills; must be able to work with vendors and internal and external customers in a professional manner.
