The Creative Design Artist contributes to AHF's mission by helping the Creative Production Manager and others in the Marketing Department to better service the company and community.  The position will support the department by developing imagery for digital social media pages and posts, press releases, e-mail blasts and other newsworthy material when necessary. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to producing creative projects ensuring completion on-time and to AHF standards, service requests from business lines throughout the organization, interface and support AHF departments and partners.  


The Creative Design Artist is expected to be a team player who is willing to take on new challenges and specific projects assignments as deemed appropriate and in support of the Creative Department and overall AHF vision and initatives.  The ideal person should be proactive, problem-solver, work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. Strong communications and interpersonal skills are required as this position will interact with internal and external clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:


  • Working with assigned teams of business line representatives in the development and the execution of marketing projects.
  • Coordination of creative project flow from conception to completion and applying to various advertising mediums (billboard, print, digital, etc.).
  • Coordinating with other members of the Creative Department to ensure that projects are completed on time and to AHF standards.
  • Maintain AHF and affiliate company corporate graphic and style standards for all projects assigned including marketing materials such as letterhead, brochures, direct mail, newsletters, promotional items, outdoor, print, digital, and other forms of advertising.
  • Service requests and questions from business line areas and throughout the organization as they pertain to marketing assets use and development.
  • Coordinate the development and production of conventional marketing communications materials, i.e., brochures, fact sheets, direct mail, newsletters, banners, stationery, business cards, promotional items, etc., including coordination with outside copywriters, graphic designers, printers, promotional item vendors, letter shops, etc.
  • Develop designs and adapt across various mediums (print, web, social, etc.).
  • Assist with production and design of events, event concepts, and event promotions, i.e., AHF Healthcare Center and Out of the Closet Thrift Store openings, fundraising and community events among others.
  • Maintain archive of produced marketing collateral and associated electronic files.
  • Accountable for meeting deadlines or, otherwise, communicating with the stakeholders involved to change the expected deadline so as to ensure first-rate service and the highest client satisfaction.
  • Attend weekly Production and Marketing meetings. Present designs created for AHF advertising and print collateral.
  • Prepare materials according to specifications, distributes to appropriate media vehicles before established deadline, and tracks progress of jobs to ensure schedules are met.


What you bring to the table:


  • A passion for making an impact and commitment to the objectives of the organization and department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to produce designs quickly.
  • 2+ years of graphic design background required
  • A strong portfolio showcasing design aesthetic from various mediums (digital, print, animation, etc)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills, team-oriented, reliable, driven



The ideal candidate for this position will have 1-2 years of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator, most specifically) and Microsoft Office suites.  Please include on your resume a link to your porfolio and/or website.
