An IT Telecommunications Technician contributes to AHF's mission by addressing and resolving any IT telecom inquiries, problems, and requests to allow AHF to provide maximum quality care to our clients. This is an administrative, technical, and service resource that provides critical support and IT customer service to users across the entire organization. This individual performs professional work with computer hardware, software, and network systems. This position configures and supports all telecom systems to ensure continuous availability. This individual will provide the baseline foundation for AHF’s technology operations and is the frontline for telecom support.


The IT Telecommunications Technician installs and supports desktop phones, mobile technology, computers, and network operations in accordance with IT Service standards; provides hardware and software evaluation; provides problem solving and training for end users; and ensures the efficiency and integrity of all telecommunication systems. In addition, the individual will provide service and/or training via telephone, web/video conference, email, remote desktop, and face-to-face that enables employees to resolve technology issues with the information system tools they have been provided.


This individual’s strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, and understanding of the IT needs of AHF users will be leveraged to ensure employees are able to perform their responsibilities efficiently, productively, and effectively. The IT Telecommunication Technician must develop an understanding of AHF’s systems, business requirements and be able to triage user support issues effectively leading to proactive resolution and/or escalation as necessary. Proactive communication, empathy, and a focused sense of urgency will be expected throughout the support request resolution process.
