Behavioral Health Manager

In addition to other responsibilities, this position will have the opportunity to:

  • Monitor, evaluate and implement program quality assurance, improvement and clinical integrity through chart reviews, surveys, policy and procedure revision and other applicable means
  • Provide input, oversight and monitoring to program activities, including development of collaborating agencies and relationship with Department of Corrections and other treatment providers
  • Monitors and supports clinical competencies through accepted discipline supervision standards.
  • Supervise daily activities of assigned staff
  • Provide clinical intervention and support to clients
  • Assess, develop, locate and track training needs for program staff.
  • Monitoring program productivity, outcomes and service delivery goals
  • Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program services, initiatives, procedures and standards.
  • Develop relationships with community partners for referral and linkages
  • Assist in monitoring revenues and expenses allocated to assigned programs
  • Attend and Facilitate community, program meetings, staff meetings and trainings as determined by Director
  • Maintains databases, data tracking systems and reports in accordance with agency and program, licensing and accreditation standards
  • Address and document client and provider concerns prior to the grievance procedure and Director’s involvement.
  • Represent the agency at community forums and provider consortia
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills/ Requirements

  • Master’s degree Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Counseling
  • Florida State License as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred or registered intern.
  • One year of program management and/or staff clinical supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of HIV disease, intervention and prevention.
  • Advanced knowledge of Substance Abuse and Mental Health intervention and prevention.
  • Knowledge of Basic Case Management Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, collaborating agencies and the public
  • Ability to demonstrate and model culturally competent behavior
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills required:  Microsoft Office, Multiple Databases, Scheduling Programs
  • Basic math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Basic office equipment operation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to assess changing priorities and competing deadlines is essential
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with several tasks simultaneously
  • Must be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

  • Florida State License, as LCSW, LMHC or LMFT or registered intern
  • Certification as Qualified Clinical Supervisor upon licensure
  • HIV 500
  • Valid Florida Drivers License and ongoing proof of insurance required
  • Must have reliable transportation for work related activities
