YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

A Eligibilty Speacialist contributes to AHF by conducting proactive outreach to clients by providing benefits counseling and advocacy services to clients and assisting with enrollment in the Ryan White eligibility program. With the understanding of the Ryan White Program and benefits services, you will work directly within the Healthcare Center to enroll newly diagnosed patients, patients lost to care, and clients currently in care by completing a screening eligibility assessment. In this way, you will support the client’s ability to maintain better/improve their health status so they can work to achieve their healthcare goals.

A Eligibilty Speacialist enhances the reputation of AHF by making all necessary efforts to ensure clients are appropriately screened for Ryan White Eligibility under all other pertinent third-party benefits programs. You will meet our clients where they are, identify strengths and opportunities for growth, and assist them with realistic goal setting. With your skills of collaboration and engagement, you will bring the essence of the Ryan White Care Act - the safety net for uninsured HIV/AIDS patients - to our most vulnerable population. Your Eligibility assessments directly contribute to AHF’s success in meeting the deliverables of our Ryan White contract. Beyond the scope of the contract, your work contributes to measures established by the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) Measures and the Department of Health and Human Services.

You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives.

To be successful as a Eligibilty Speacialist it is crucial to ensure that the AHF core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that your do. At AHF we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Eligibilty Speacialist will work as a part of a close knit team to collaborate with the Care Management team and Healthcare Center staff to communicate, discuss, and/or plan collaborative responses to client service-related needs, challenges, and barriers so that every Ryan White client receives the support and Ryan White Eligibility assistance they require and access to available resources.
