YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

A Wellness Client Care Specialist (CCS2) contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to patients seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment in our Wellness Clinics. A CCS2 is a hybrid role providing courteous, confidential, and professional support to clients within wellness programs.

Within their duties of accurately collecting new patient medical history, determining what tests/screenings are due during medical visits, taking patient vitals, and documenting all patient health-related complaints, this position has the opportunity to provide excellent patient centered care.

This candidate must have the ability to assist clients with registration and check-in, verifying and screening for medical health insurance, creating and re-scheduling appointments, creating electronic medical charts, documenting and recording client data in our data platforms, and adequately documenting referrals and reports as needed.

A CCS2 must have a current medical assistant (MA) certificate. This individual must have the ability to perform venipuncture procedures, and administer and collects samples such as urine, blood, sputum, and stool specimens as ordered. Performs phlebotomy as ordered and prepares specimens for transport to the laboratory.

The CCS2 will work as a part of a close-knit team to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our patients and enhance the reputation of AHF by seamlessly transitioning between performing medical assistant clinical functions including phlebotomy, HIV/STD testing and performing administrative duties including front office, processing patient referrals, and identifying and verifying insurance coverage. By actively participating in cross-functional rotations, and promoting adaptability, they will be developed across multiple healthcare and wellness center functions, and their commitment to collaborating with other AHF employees and departments will reinforce AHF's reputation as a trusted healthcare provider dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and upholding our organization's mission and values.

Licenses/Certifications: Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma required.
