The Staff Pharmacist is essential to the success of our specialty pharmacies and will provide coverage in (San Diego, CA).  You will provide a high level of clinical skills and knowledge in caring for our patients that helps our patients live a sustainable quality of life, be productive in society and improved health contributes to the success of AHF and our mission contributes to society in general. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations and must be able to work well as a team player as well as independently.  The attributes we desire that contribute to AHF’s mission include presenting a friendly smile, a helpful voice, a helpful attitude, to our staff, patients, clients and customers. 

This position will work a 4 days/10 hour per day set work schedule (9am-7pm) Monday-Saturdays.  Must be open to working all Federal holidays (company paid holiday and regular schedule). 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, LICENSES AND ABILITIES THAT ARE ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS:

• Valid State of California, Pharmacist license without restrictions 
  and/or hold an American Academy of HIV Pharmacist Certification (AAHIVP), current or successfully obtain within 1 year of employment
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Pharmacist in an Outpatient, Retail or Hospital setting is required
• Demonstrated leadership experience required (supervising Interns, Pharmacy Technicians or Staff)

• Proficient with computer skills including: Pharmacy Management System (PMS), Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) and all additional electronic and non-electronic systems utilized by AHF Pharmacy and the AHF Department of Medicine.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred
