A Front Office Clerk contributes to AHF by contributing to a team centered attitude and new outreach strategies. The Front Office Clerk is generally the first team member to interact with the client. Within their duties, the Front Office Clerk greets the client, assists the patient signing into the clinic, and creates a medical record. In addition, give feedback to their manager about how services could be improved.

A Front Office Clerk enhances the reputation of AHF by helping with our mission to provide compassionate and informing care to our clients.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Front Office Clerk will work as a part of a closeknit team to start clinic flow and assist with administrative duties. This position has the opportunity to be engaged, personable and relatable, with the probability of clients returning for services in the future.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer/Software Skills & Abilities

To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills

Basic Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Basic Skills:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
