YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

This position is responsible for Health and Safety Quality assurance for all Broward House owned properties through regular inspections, assessment of procedures, implementation of drills and reporting findings to management.

In addition to other duties, this position will:

  • Documents inspection of each unit, property and vehicles owned by Broward House, including HQS, OSHA, AHCA standards and completing direct maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Implements and tracks progress of established maintenance schedules, while making suggestion for improvements.
  • Monitor, prioritizes and responds to Maintenance Helpdesk requests
  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, door hardware and general maintenance
  • Completes necessary tasks related to contracted renovations and construction projects
  • Identifies and reports safety issues and maintenance repair needs to Facilities Director
  • Conducts and documents drills in accordance with all licensing and funding entities
  • Maintains drills and alarm system logs for inspection for regulatory agencies
  • Maintains and updates the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan in coordination with Facilities Director
  • Research, prepare and follow-up on Building Permits needs for all Broward House sites and response status updates
  • Prepared purchase request with departmental account coding
  • Provide reporting for Facilities as requested
  • Provides support with inspection for non-Broward House owned properties having a program relationships
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Maintain orderliness, safety and cleanliness of properties
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and Federal guidelines.
  • Perform duties as assigned during hurricanes, or other emergencies.
  • Prompt completion and submission of all paperwork involved with Quality Assurance functions
  • Manage internal maintenance request ticket system, as assigned
  • Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined.

Skills/ Requirements

  • This position requires a minimum associate’s degree with (2) years directly related experience
  • Valid Florida Drivers License and ongoing proof of insurance required
  • HUD HQS
  • Proficiency in HQS, AHCA and DOH inspection standards
  • Understanding of municipality permitting and code compliance
  • Basic math skills for measurement and computation
  • Ability to read and comprehend assembly directions
  • Moderate to advance computer skills
  • Basic construction/maintenance knowledge

 

Important Notes:

 

Must pass all drug and background screening, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening.

 

Hours:  Full-time 40/hrs. including rotating holidays.
