This internship program will run from June 2nd - August 29th. You must be available for the entirety of the program.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

The Client Experience and Retention Intern contributes to AHF's mission by supporting the Healthcare Center department in achieving its overall objective, increase overall satisfaction with regards to AHF services to increase both patient engagement and improve patient retention.


They will assist with managing existing client experience programs. They will also play an active role in developing new programs and tools to refine our understanding of our client base and examine how multiple teams can provide seamless client service with the goal of improving each client touch point. Some other key activities include:

 

  • Shadowing the administrative staff, in particular the Practice Manager, on the work-flow of the clinic
  • Learning about referral coordination & phone triaging 
  • Learning about HIPAA and the practices of maintaining patient/medical records
  • Learning about the Ryan White eligibility program
  • Learning about patient Retention and Retention Practices.


Within their duties of supporting the AHF’s client experience & Healthcare Center programs, this position has the opportunity to influence department and organization cultural change. In addition, better client experience performance will enhance AHF's reputation in the communities we serve and allow AHF to be known as one of the world’s best healthcare/advocacy organization.  

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be a fulltime student at an accredited 4-year college or post graduate
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher majoring in a Healthcare degree or related field
  • Must commit to the full duration of the program and full time hours
  • Must have exceptional computer skills 
  • Complete full internship starts June 2nd – August 29th
  • Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
  • Hybrid Schedule
