The Pharmacy Audit Specialist contributes to AHF by ensuring pharmacy operations remain compliant with applicable regulatory and program requirements through proactive audit preparation, detailed claim-level review, and coordination of necessary documentation to support timely and accurate audit responses. The specialist also provides corrective action guidance to address audit findings and promote continuous compliance.

The Pharmacy Audit Specialist enhances the reputation of AHF by promoting accountability and operational integrity through accurate audit documentation, timely responses to audit inquiries, and support for corrective actions that reflect AHF’s commitment to compliance, transparency, and high quality pharmacy services – while also helping to mitigate potential financial risk.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

The Pharmacy Audit Specialist will work as a part of a close-knit team to support AHF pharmacies in maintaining audit readiness by coordinating responses to audits, gathering and reviewing required documentation, analyzing claim-level data and pharmacy invoices, and auditing inventory records for accuracy and compliance. The specialist also communicates audit findings and corrective action information to relevant stakeholders. This role collaborates with pharmacy staff across multiple sites, contributes to the prevention of payer clawbacks, and helps uphold AHF’s standards for operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered service.

Licenses and Certifications: CA pharmacy technician license AND PTCB certification (current or must be attained within 180 days within hiring date)
