The Quality Assurance Specialist contributes to AHF by performing audits in our pharmacy sites, investigating Quality Related Events (QRE) and complaints, including completing incident reports and developing statistics. They are problem solvers providing a "helping hand" and calming influence to staff members, and ensuring the highest quality of care and customer service to our clients. Additionally, giving feedback to management and administration on how services and processes could be improved. The Quality Assurance Specialist enhances the reputation of AHF by promoting quality achievements and performance improvement throughout the pharmacy division. Observing pharmacy teams at work and developing quality assurance techniques to ensure safe, legal and ethical practices. Assists in providing "gold standard" customer service and maintaining an "Accreditation Ready" state at all times. You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives. To be successful as the Quality Assurance Specialist, it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. At AHF, we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work as a part of a close-knit team to complete audits/inspections, training, and "face to face" support, enhancing the sites ability to be in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and AHF policy requirements at all times. The successful candidate travels approximately 75% of the time performing the duties of this position, in addition to follow up on Quality Related Events and patient complaints to ensure our patients are receiving the highest level of customer service. Licenses and Certifications:*High school diploma or general education degree (GED). B.A. or B.S. from an accredited College or University or equivalent. *Pharmacy Technician licenses or certification (current) in state employed by AHF Pharmacy (if required). *National Pharmacy Technician Certification (current or successfully obtained within 180 days of employment). *Must have a minimum of three (3) years recent experience as a pharmacy technician or combination of education and experience may qualify. |
