A Lead Navigator contributes to AHF by providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to LGBTQ+ individuals impacted by substance use. They lead harm reduction efforts through the distribution of life-saving materials, facilitate behavioral health presentations to reduce stigma and increase community knowledge, and ensure seamless navigation to affirming sexual health and mental health services. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. 

The Lead Navigator will work as a part of a close knit team to deliver comprehensive, holistic services that address both the behavioral health and sexual health needs of clients. Collaborating with fellow navigators, outreach workers, and clinical staff, they will coordinate harm reduction distribution, facilitate educational presentations, and ensure individuals are connected to affirming care without barriers. By fostering open communication, mutual support, and shared accountability within the team, they help create a collaborative environment that maximizes impact and uplifts AHF’s mission to provide dignified, client-centered services.
