The Associate Director of Branding (West) contributes to AHF by leading strategic conception, development and execution of brand initiatives, site-level enhancement and brand standard across all service lines to foster and maintain awareness, recognition and integrity. This role creates specialized approaches rooted in innovation and relevance, enhancing staff and client engagement and experience. It also acts as a bridge across services lines, galvanizing multi-level / multi-disciplinary insight, translating it into innovative and compelling strategies. This role will operate independently but aligned with the Director of Brand as they oversee site openings and other special projects requested by regional and senior level leadership.

 

The Associate Director of Branding (West) enhances the reputation of AHF by supporting service line leadership in exploring, maintaining and executing opportunities to improve retention and foster a competent, compassionate, and inclusive AHF culture. This role will evaluate, qualify and elevate AHF spaces, services, initiatives and strategies to improve key performance metrics.  The Associate Director of Branding: West acts as an intuitive observer that can recognize patterns and opportunities for brand awareness and strategy. This role is expected to collaboratively contribute with insight, perspective and recommendations that informs implementation and cross-departmental projects.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

 

The Associate Director of Branding (West) will work as a part of a close-knit team to show initiative in identifying, fostering and managing external viable partnerships that elevate, expand and evolve the AHF mission and as well as deepen our reach in local markets. Alongside the Director of Branding, the Associate Director of Branding: West must keep awareness of the intersectional opportunities of all AHF Business Lines and aim to increase Brand Equity and Continuity.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Up to 50% travels to AHF sites multiple times through phases of construction. Supervises site surveys and project planning for new locations as well as existing sites to ensure they are compliant to branding standards.
  • Up to 50% travels to bureaus to conduct market rides and branding compliance assessments at local sites with Director of Branding and Associate Director of Engagement, as well as independent travel.
  • Engages of all service lines to ensure cohesive branding. Builds and maintains
    sustainable relationships with internal / service line business counterparts.
  • Identifies market opportunities and execute vision and strategy of the Director of Brand.
  • Ensures aesthetic and style of spaces are relevant and representative of local infrastructure and
    nuanced influences across various geographical and cultural lines.
  • Collaborates with Branding Department in long-term initiatives and special projects. 
  • Drives new location openings, including temporary, exterior, and internal branding and site design.
  • Manages brand standards and adjustments across all existing sites for all AHF entities and
    obtains all applicable reviews and approvals. Keeps thorough records, photos and documentation per site within internal project management software.
  • Conceptualizes with Branding Department on standard and custom signage plans, design layouts, recommendations and obtains applicable approvals.
  • Identifies and Oversees contractors, vendors, and freelance artists and maintains communication and coordination from initial phase to completion and follow up.
  • Qualifies timelines and ensures deadlines are met across all site branding projects and provides adequate tracking and reporting with Operations Department and Regional Leadership.
  • Protects brand values, attributes, and building the brand passion and love for AHF both internally and externally.
  • Reviews brand-related drawings, design details, finish samples, hardware and equipment
    specifications to ensure proper coordination of design intent and execution. Makes recommendations to Director of Branding and obtains approvals.
  • Ensures scope of project falls within budget. Ensures application of internal coding for expenses and obtaining approvals in accordance with internal AHF process.
  • Processes internal signage requests across all domestic sites in accordance with AHF policy.
  • Plans and schedules meetings with internal staff, vendors and contractors as applicable.
  • Manages print and digital signage vendor logistics and installations.
  • Maintains project logs, Smartsheets, design files, construction plans, and production files.
  • Researches and makes recommendations of innovative signage installations, trends in venue wayfinding.
  • Oversees grand openings logistics to ensure site signage is completed before a new location opening. Manages logistics with the support of regional leads and local staff.
  • Conducts research on design/branding trends in order to identify new trends and best practices and coordinates timeline for project completion.
