The Department of Medicine (DOM) Systems Trainer contributes to AHF by ensuring staff at all healthcare centers are fully prepared to use the Athena EMR and other key healthcare systems accurately,confidently, and in alignment with organization-specific workflows.
By equipping providers, nurses, and clinical and non-clinical staff with the necessary skills, you directly support high-quality patient care, compliant documentation, and efficient HCC operations.
The DOM Systems Trainer enhances the reputation of AHF by delivering engaging training, maintaining up-to-date educational materials, and ensuring consistent system usage across all regions.
Through effective workflow coaching and data-driven monitoring,you will help improve performance, reduce errors, and strengthen the overall patient experience.

AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.
The DOM Systems Trainer will work as a part of a close-knit team to deliver comprehensive DOM systems training while reinforcing workflows, and compliance requirements. This role maintains training materials, job aids, and eLearning in collaboration with IT and L&D. The trainer conducts refresher and update trainings following system or policy changes; tracks and reports training completions; and identifies performance gaps and opportunities for improvement. As needed, the trainer provides on-site and virtual support during go-lives and system updates. As a subject matter expert, you will ensure training aligns with real-time configurations and best practices, proactively recommending workflow enhancements to improve performance. Success in this role requires deep proficiency with Athena and other DOM systems, strong project management skills, and experience with adult learning principles. The ideal candidate can simplify complex workflows into clear, actionable learning, communicate professionally across teams, and build trust with clinical and operational leaders. Strong organizational and project-management skills, along with experience in adult learning and interactive facilitation, are essential.
