Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

 

Data Collector will collect data from Out-patient Department, Laboratory and hospital administration unit to support information management system of the hospitals ensuring continuum and quality care of HIV patients on ART.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect data from list of daily attendants at ART out-patient department.
  • Collect data from laboratory and medical store ensuring completeness of all information in the data collection sheet.
  • Works with Physicians and staff from the clinical sites to operationalize the data collection, entry and validity of data.
  • Backs up all information on a daily basis to ensure safety of data
  • Monitors and maintains privacy of all data collected and enters into the computer
  • Develop and submits regular data reports to CPM
  • Participates in regular meetings with countries staff, Asia Bureau, Global and Headquarters staff;
  • Undertake other duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Holds Bachelor Degree from any recognized University.
  • With 2 years experience in use of Microsoft office and other desk top publishing functions.
  • Prefer to have experience in data collection and data entry using excel or other statistical software.
  • Credit will be given to those who have experience at working in health care services and hospital environment.
  • Flexible, proactive and able to organize work independently as well as work in a team.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to speak and communicate with AHF staff by English fluently.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  

  • Ability to compute basic mathematical measurement (rate, ratio, and percent and to draw interprets bar graphs)

 

COMPUTER ISOFTWARE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation software;
  • Proficiency with internet searching and use of electronic mail.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Degree and certificates from recognized university and training centers

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to travel within the country as required
  • Understanding hospital nature and environment, patient population and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS;
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic statistical data and effectively present information to colleagues and management or public groups.
