  1. Provide overall leadership in communication, community engagement and partnerships;
  2. Implement strategic and programmatic direction to drive an innovative agenda to promote and sustain demand for AHF Zambia services with a view to increase coverage;
  3. Implement AHF Zambia agendas related to advocacy, behavior and social change communication, social mobilization and community engagement;
  4. Coordinate national partners on demand for AHF Zambia services, focusing on advocacy;
  5. Convene of national experts in social and behavior change communication, behavioral sciences, implementation research, and HIV/AIDS from UN agencies, CSOs, academia and donors for technical collation and review of evidence, tools and interventions to promote, sustain, and monitor community demand for AHF Zambia services;
  6. Coordinate evidence-based programming in demand and communication for AHF services;
  7. Tracking of progress on status of demand for AHF Zambia’s services nationwide and in priority regions;
  8. Use documented lessons on design, field testing, scaling-up and monitoring of evidence-informed and innovative social and behavior change communication, community engagement and demand promotion strategies to influence national priorities and programming;
  9. Establish and maintain communication channels with local media and a regularly update information centre (e.g. website or other) on progress;
  10. Developing Communication and Advocacy Materials for AHF Zambia;
  11. Any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authourity.
  12. Serves as the principal focal point for the provision of advice to the government on all aspects of the AHF Zambia program;
  13. Serves as the interface between the government and the AHF Zambia on day-to-day basis;
  14. Builds a  conduit for information through  liaison  with government and other agencies, and identifies potential areas of further collaboration;
  15. Ensures that the benefits of collaborating with AHF are known and understood by government and other relevant stakeholders;
  16. Takes a  proactive  role  in  aligning  the  activities of Government to those of AHF Zambia;
  17. Ensures AHF is represented (by him/her or other staff) in the relevant adhoc and standing committees of government and other partners;
  18. Ensures that AHF is aware of new and relevant initiatives of the government;
  19. Keeps informed about national partners undertaking activities that are of interest to AHF;
  20. Develop strategies for building and sustaining internal and external partnerships in support of Agency approved projects;
  21. To undertake any other duties as may be assigned.

Supervise all staff assisting in liaison, advocacy and communication initiatives.
