Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

•Conduct HIV pre and post Testing and counseling
•Process all forms and lab specimens according to policy and procedures
•Drive the mobile testing unit when needed
•Supervise staff during testing shift
•Collect and process timesheets for assigned staff
•Supervise and coordinate the schedule for assigned staff
•Obtain encroachment permits and parking permits for the Mobile Testing Program
•Locates new venues for the MTU program on a monthly basis
•Orders all office and medical supplies for program
•Keeps record and log of all maintenance and repair invoices to mobile testing unit
•Arranges maintenance schedule for the mobile testing units
•Keeps record of all MTU incident reports and claims
•Provides technical support to staff regarding paperwork
•Serves as a floater when needed
•Provides ideas and suggestion on how to meet HIV testing goals
•Ensures that all mobile testing units have all the proper forms, permits, materials and supplies
•Prepares monthly report for the MTU units
•Coordinate with AHF Linkage team to ensure the referrals and linkage of positive clients
•Control expenditures and implement cost containment at all levels of programmatic operations in order to provide compassionate, thorough and efficient client testing and referral services.
•Provide results for STD tests in accordance with AHF and Florida Department of Health.
•Ensure that all clients that test positive for an STD are informed of their test results through either direct AHF contact or referral to Disease Intervention Specialist.
•Upholds and ensures code of confidentiality relative to the clients and the testing program in accordance with AHF and HIPAA standards of care and service delivery.
•All other duties as assigned

Participation in AHF Meetings/Committees.

•All staff meeting

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AHF’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer/Software Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Other Skills & Abilities/Qualifications
•Requires one-year experience as an HIV-testing counselor.
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Must be able to travel locally 80% of the time.
•Sensitivity to the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS.
•Must have reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
•Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
•Skill in communicating openly on sexual topics without prejudice or judgment.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Current HIV Testing Counselor certifications.
Insti and Clearview Complete brand rapid finger-stick testing kit certifications.
Valid Florida driver’s license with proof of insurance.
