A Front Office Clerk/Benefits Counselor contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to patients, people seeking to enroll in the public services available, medical treatment, testing or pharmacy patrons. Also, contributes to enhancing the lives of our patients by making sure their HIV treatment is not interrupted due to their eligibility. Within their duties of greeting patients in a courteous and sensitive manner, scheduling appointments and assisting with the needs of our clients, enrolling patients in the public services available such as Ryan White and the AIDS Drug Assistant Program (ADAP), and verifying patient’s insurances. This position has the opportunity to give standout service that enhances the reputation of AHF, encourages patients to continue to seek medical treatment from an AHF Healthcare Center and recommend our services to family and friends.
Attention to detail when pulling up patient charts and medical records, will ensure a smooth flow of patients and allow our physicians to provide treatment efficiently.
The Front Office Clerk/Benefits Counselor can enhance the experience of other members of the AHF Healthcare Center staff, by lending a helping hand when needed and thinking of their role as collaborative, rather than exclusive. In addition, giving feedback to their manager about how service could be improved will allow the team members to enhance their contribution.
The Front Office Clerk/Benefits Counselor adds consistent value to the AHF Healthcare Center Team by adapting to various situations with ease, by being flexible and travel to cover the satellites Healthcare Center and perform excellent services to our patients with compassion and respect.
