STILL INTERESTED? Please continue!   WORLD is seeking a full-time Outreach and Linkage Specialist to join the team at the WORLD office located in Oakland, California. The office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OUR SUCCESS!

  • Conducts outreach in various settings and to diverse populations in Alameda County, and other local areas.
  • Provides transportation to clients.
  • Refers clients to WORLD’s Women’s Clinic, the AHF Pharmacy, and  Peer Advocate Program.
  • Helps clients’ access services by providing referrals, accompanying to appointments, and engaging with providers.
  • Provides non-directive information to clients about HIV, treatments, stress reduction and self-care strategies.
  • Reminds clients of medical and other supportive appointments, and follow-up after appointments.
  • Provides support and referrals for dealing with difficult issues (disclosure, adherence, parenting, relationships, pregnancy and HIV, substance use).
  • Advocates for consumers by bringing concerns to attention for providers.
  • Completes written documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work daytime and/or evening hours required.
  • Fosters relationships with other AIDS Service Organization and initiate partnerships
  • Tables community events and promotes WORLD’s servicesParticipation in Meetings/Committees
  •  Attends meetings as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities
