The Policy & Advocacy Manager is responsible for developing and executing the agency’s policy and advocacy strategies. WORLD seeks to hire a 32 hour Advocacy Manager who will lead and coordinate our advocacy efforts which include training HIV positive women to speak publically concerning their unique experience in living with HIV. They will also advocate publically for gender-focused policies and services and programs that can positively impact their health and lives, as well as their peers living with and at risk for HIV.
The Policy & Advocacy Manager will work to shape and strengthen the agency’s advocacy platform; expand agency presence in national women’s coalitions and build alliances beyond the field of HIV and work closely with local, regional and national women’s health, human rights, social justice and women and HIV networks and organizations.
