PHD Operations provides critical support to the functioning of AHF’s Public Health Division (PHD) in achieving AHF’s Mission and Goals across communities in the US. The PHD Operations Assistant, as a key member of the PHD Operations Team, helps realize its core functions in the service of PHD nationally: administrative and office support and services, logistics and inventory management and data and quality assurance. PHD Operations fulfills its mission through a commitment to sustaining the integrity of PHD structures and processes and supporting their development, improvement and innovation.

As a member of the PHD Operations Team, the Operations Assistant, focuses on undertaking PHD’s daily office operations and administrative functions. The Operations Assistant helps to safeguard valuable PHD assets and assists in managing essential inventory, operational logistics, distribution and warehousing. Nationally for AHF, PHD Operations handles almost all condom and test kit distribution. With the launch and implementation of new operational systems and processes, the Operations Assistant helps in streamlining the execution of services and distribution of resources to PHD, departments throughout AHF and community partners. The Operations Assistant contributes to quality assurance activities and monitoring that ensure that PHD meets governmental regulatory requirements and helps to uphold the veracity of testing data evaluating division-wide performance. Additionally, productive and collaborative professional relationships with PHD Departments, AHF Departments, partner organizations, vendors, etc. are decisive to the efforts and work of PHD Operations and the Operations Assistant plays a supportive role in maintaining them.


Through the work of the PHD Operations Team, the Division’s operational needs are met and every material resource is fulfilled at a national scale. The PHD Operation’s Team purpose and value lies in affording PHD’s Programs – Testing, Wellness, Linkage and Research – the ability to focus on the provision of services to underserved and marginalized communities in the US and in turn realize AHF’s mission and core values.
