AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a current Public Health, Health Administration and or Social Work undergraduate to participate in a paid, part-time (20 hours per week), internship within the Public Health Division of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from June 18, 2018 to August 10, 2018. This internship offers students an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a division serving and reaching hundreds of thousands of individuals nationally. Interns will rotate within the different divisions of Public Health to gain a comprehensive understanding of what the field entails.
The Public Health Intern is responsible for projecting and integrating the Mission and Core Values of the organization within and outside of the Public Health Division. The Public Health Division conduct over 160,000 HIV test annually across 10 states including Washington, DC.
As a Public Health Intern, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable insight into an organization and division that serves hundreds and thousands of individuals nationally. As a current masters or PHd student, you will understand the current HIV/AIDS and STD landscape in US and gain familiarity with community-based testing.
AHF looks for interns to help with essential administration and operational functions; such as program development, developing reports, monitoring and evaluation research. Input data entry and educate Community about HIV and AIDS. There are even opportunities to offer client local community and medical referrals.
