Essential Job Duties

  • Provide each registered runner with welcome and face to encourage fundraising and active participation in the event.
  • Personally contact previous year’s (2016 & 2017) runners to recruit them to come back for 2018.
  • Promote Run through online and print calendars and websites
  • Develop and distribute 5K Run flyer at running supply stores and run sponsors
  • Facilitate Runner Check In on the Day of the Event
  • Work with group of event volunteers to staff and operate health fairs, information tables, panels and speakers
  • Follow up with event contacts to evaluate attendance and determine if participation next year is advantageous to AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run.




Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.



-1 to 2 years volunteer supervisory and/or fund-raising experience is ideal. 

-Capable of working under stress in fast-paced, diverse, and active professional environment is required.


Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.  Specifically, candidate will have excellent phone, electronic, and written communication skills.


MS Office suite experience is essential.  Willingness to learn windows-based database system required. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
