PHC Florida is a Medicaid managed care plan designed specifically for HIV-positive individuals who are eligible for Medicaid and live in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. PHC Florida is a Managed Medical Assitance (MMA) plan offered through Florida’s statewide Medicaid Managed Care Program

The Associate Director, Government Contracts (ADGC) is a key leader in AHF’s Managed Care Division and health plans. This leadership position is responsible for oversite of health plan government contracts in order to assure the health plans remain complaint with contractual, regulatory, accreditation and internal MCO standards. The ADGC serves as the principal liaison between the health plans and the federal and/or state regulator. By building a stronger relationship between the plans and regulator, the ADCG positions the health plans to grow and retain membership.
The ADCG contributes to the success of the AHF MCO by ensuring the MCO team is executing the assigned contract(s) and meeting the terms of the contract in a compliant, effective and efficient manner. The ADGC is responsible for analyzing the business requirements of the contracts, with a focus on lowering contract management costs, improving and maintaining contract compliance and avoiding contractual conflicts within the organization and with external Contractors, e.g., Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), CMS, etc. This position contributes significant capacity to management by managing multiple competing objectives, prioritizing, and communicating complex information, guidance and leadership in clear and unambiguous terms to the management team, cross-functional team members and end user personnel. The ADGC must be independent and self-motivated who can develop a strategic analytical approach customized to meet the needs of health plan contract or assigned project.
The ADGC additionally contributes to the success of AHF MCO by oversight that assures the day-to-day contract compliance and reporting is timely and accurately executed. Success comes to the ADCG while working closely the department directors, Chief of Managed Care, Senior Director, Health Plan Operations (SDHPO), Compliance Officer and other executive management to ensure plan execution, compliance with contract requirements, and avoidance of any sanctions or liquidated damages, as related to reporting, data submissions, up-to-date policies and procedures, provider network adequacy, complaints and grievances marketing/community outreach and ad hoc requests.
