    AIDS Healthcare Foundation is seeking a Mid-Level Provider to work on a part-time basis in our Las Vegas health center.  This great opportunity is to join our Public Health Department.  AHF offers a competitive hourly rate and an amazing work environment!

    The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for projecting and integrating the Mission and Core Values of the organization as well as AHF’s Management Philosophy in the leadership of the Public Health Division.

     

     **** This is a per diem position that is paid by the shift, Compensation is $250 per shift. *****

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following.

    Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • Monitors and examines Wellness Centers patients; this includes treating the patients in a timely manner, acting as a medical resources, and providing guidance as needed. Provides HIV/STD counseling and testing services. Provides STD treatment.
    •  Begins assigned clinics on time.

    • Sees an average of 20 clients per shift.

    • Works with Program Managers to accommodate PEP/walk-in patients
    • Performs targeted physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and according to policy and procedure manual.
    • Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
    • Reviews laboratory test results and other reports.
    • Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis based on patient's condition; discusses case with medical director or his representative and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
    • Utilizes electronic medical records system to document patient care.
    • Prescribes medication for treatment of STD’s and Post Exposure Prophylaxis.
    • Refers patients to physician or specialist for consultation.
    • Reviews charts and performs peer reviews as directed by Medical Director or his representative.
    • Completes client assessment utilizing electronic medical record systems.
    • Schedules vacation or conference leave time at least one month in advance.
    • Calls Senior Regional Program Manager with as much advance notice as possible for sickness and/or unplanned days off.

    • HCC Staff Meeting.
