    AHF is currently seeking Interns for the Fall program.  The program will provide insight for students who have interest in the field of Public Health. This is a paid full-time position.

     

    Internship Overview

    PHD offers interns an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a division serving and reaching hundreds of thousands of individuals nationally. Interns provide essential administrative and operational support, along with other responsibilities.

     

    Experiences and learning opportunities include:

    • Understanding of the current HIV/AIDS and STD landscape in the US
    • Gain familiarity with community-based testing
    • Work directly with communities at risk for contracting HIV and other STDs
    • Be exposed to different cultures and communities, and learn how they affect health behaviors and outcomes.
    • Participate in programs that are on the frontline in the fight against HIV and STDs.
    • Work with a dynamic, diverse and dedicated staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with program development including: developing reports, monitoring and evaluation, and operational research.
    • Data entry and review of on-going research programs
    • Assist with program development and proposal development and submission as needed.
    • Administrative and front desk support at Wellness STD Clinics
    • Outreach and client risk assessments at different testing sites
